Biography
Daniël (I) Marot was a French-Dutch engraver and architect born in Paris in 1663 and died in The Hague in 1752. Marot's engravings often depicted elaborate interiors and architectural designs, showcasing the grandeur of Baroque style. His work includes detailed plans for palaces and gardens, including the famous Palace of Versailles. His engravings were popular among wealthy patrons, serving as blueprints for interior design and decoration.
