Biography
Cornelis van Caukercken (1625-1680) was a Flemish painter and engraver known for his detailed depictions of historical figures, particularly portraits. He was influenced by the work of Anthony van Dyck, as evidenced by his engraving of a portrait attributed to Van Dyck. Caukercken also produced engravings of religious scenes, such as the depiction of the Pentecost. His work often featured meticulous rendering of detail and a sense of realism, characteristic of the Baroque style.
