Biography
Cornelis Bos was a Dutch Renaissance printmaker who was active between 1510 and 1556. Bos produced a variety of prints including engravings, woodcuts, and etchings, but he is best known for his engravings of classical subjects, portraits, and decorative motifs. His work demonstrates a masterful use of line, shading, and detail. Bos was influenced by the works of other Northern Renaissance printmakers like Albrecht Dürer, but his style evolved into a more distinctive and refined form of his own.
