Biography
Chelsea Keramic Art Works, a studio pottery founded in 1872 and active until 1889, produced a range of utilitarian ceramic pieces, such as vases, teacups and saucers. The ceramics are characterized by their vibrant glazes, often in bold red and green tones, and intricate, embossed patterns. These designs showcase a blend of Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts influences, resulting in a distinctive style that was popular in the late 19th century.
