Biography
C. Courier was a draughtsman who worked in the late 18th century. He was likely a Dutch artist and may have been a student of Gerardus Johannes Kuipers. His surviving works are academic figure studies, such as the drawings of nude men depicted here. These drawings were often inscribed by Courier with the date and the title "Tekende door C. Courier," which translates to "Drawn by C. Courier."
