Biography
Bernardo Daddi was a Florentine painter who worked from 1290 to 1348. His work, often characterized by its delicate lines and luminous colors, blends the stylistic elements of the late Duccio di Buoninsegna with the early Florentine style of Giotto. Daddi produced numerous altarpieces and frescoes, often featuring Madonna and Child compositions, as seen in his "Madonna and Child with Angels" and "Madonna and Child with Saints," which are known for their graceful figures and harmonious compositions. Daddi’s work is representative of the transition between the late medieval and early Renaissance art movements, showcasing a blend of Byzantine and early Renaissance influences.
