Anthonius Leemans

Anthonius Leemans, a Dutch painter of still lifes, was born in Den Haag in 1630. He is known for his meticulous attention to detail and use of light and shadow. His work often features musical instruments, books, and other objects that symbolize knowledge and learning. Leemans's still lifes are often characterized by their sense of order and balance, as well as their evocative use of color and texture. He died in 1671.
