Biography
Andreas Flint (1768-1824) was a Danish engraver and printmaker, born and died in Copenhagen. Flint’s prints, often in the neoclassical style, focused on portraits, historical figures, and technical diagrams. His engraving technique is recognizable by fine detail and the use of hatching for tonal shading, as seen in the portrait of Frederik I, King of Denmark. Flint was a prolific artist, contributing to the field of engraving throughout his career.
