Biography
The American China Manufactory, a short-lived pottery operating from 1770 to 1772, was a pioneering force in American ceramics. The manufactory produced a range of decorative wares in the popular blue and white style, influenced by Chinese porcelain. The pieces are characterized by delicate floral motifs and intricate openwork designs, often featuring shells and other natural elements. Their work, although not widely produced, is valued for its historical significance as an early example of American porcelain.
