Alfred Sisley (1840-1899) was a British-born French Impressionist painter known for his landscapes, particularly those depicting the Seine River and its surrounding countryside. His paintings are characterized by their delicate brushwork, vibrant colors, and atmospheric effects. Sisley was fascinated by the changing light and weather conditions, which he captured with great sensitivity in his works.
