Sheyla Baykal

Sheyla Baykal: Horizontal Thinking presents 24 portraits made by the artist between 1979 and 1996, shown for the first time as large-format silver-gelatin prints. Curated by Marcelo Gabriel Yáñez with Penny Arcade and Soft Network, the exhibition explores Baykal’s relationships with the artists, performers and cultural figures she photographed. Displayed in a continuous horizontal sequence alongside works and objects connected to the sitters, the exhibition reflects on friendship, memory and the enduring legacy of creative communities.
