Exhibition Overview
About the exhibition
Victoria Morton: Hitting the Lift brings together painting and sound in an exhibition exploring how ideas, materials and experiences accumulate across different media. A series of richly layered paintings is presented alongside a listening space featuring new music on cassette, including collaborations with Luke Fowler. Drawing on studio objects, found materials and field recordings, the exhibition invites visitors to move between silence and sound, discovering unexpected connections between visual art, music and the artist’s everyday environment.
