Exhibition Overview
About the exhibition
The Quiet Hour brings together contemporary and historical paintings and works on paper exploring observation, memory and perception. Featuring artists including Paul Cézanne, Milton Avery, Diana Al-Hadid, Kaye Donachie and Frank Walter, the exhibition examines how landscapes, figures and still lifes can become vehicles for exploring light, colour, form and imagination. Spanning diverse styles and generations, the works reveal how painting can transform acts of looking into deeply personal and expressive visual experiences.
