Arsen Savadov made this photograph titled *Fashion at the Graveyard*, we don't know exactly when or with what materials. In this photograph, two figures are strangely situated in a graveyard. I can only imagine how this photo came into being. Maybe Savadov wanted to provoke a strong emotional response in the viewer, and I guess, it worked. The women are wearing heels and elegant dresses that contrast with the dilapidated graveyard setting. There’s something surreal and disquieting about placing fashion in such a place. It asks, can beauty and art exist in spaces normally associated with death and decay? Or maybe Savadov intended to critique cultural norms? This piece plays with the juxtaposition of life and death, beauty and decay. It reminds me of Jeff Wall's staged photography. Like Wall, Savadov brings a sense of theatre into the everyday, transforming familiar scenes into moments of heightened awareness. These artists are always talking to one another, their work inspiring new perspectives and conversations. Each artwork becomes a space where ideas mix and new meanings emerge.
