The force that through the green fuse drives the flower
Listen to curator's interpretation
Curatorial notes
Editor: Here we have Ceri Richards’ "The force that through the green fuse drives the flower." The blues and greens are quite striking and somewhat unsettling. How do you interpret this work? Curator: Well, I see a vibrant, almost chaotic, exploration of life's raw energy. It reminds me of Dylan Thomas's poem – a celebration of nature's force, wouldn't you agree? It pulses with growth and decay, a dance between creation and entropy. What secrets do you think lie within its depths? Editor: I think it's a potent reminder of nature's relentless cycle. The colours really do evoke a sense of energy. Thank you. Curator: Indeed. A beautiful paradox to ponder, isn’t it?
