This is an interesting photograph of the Sioule in the Auvergne, snapped by Delizy. It’s a muted palette—earthy browns, soft whites, and grays. I imagine Delizy, lugging his equipment, searching for the perfect vantage point. Was he sweating? Was he battling mosquitos? He probably focused on the balance between light and shadow, trying to catch the way the sun hit the rocks and trees, how it reflected on the surface of the river. Look at the textures in the rock formations! Each shadow feels intentional. I bet he wasn’t thinking about perfection. He knew that the beauty was in the details, in the imperfectly rendered edges and the way the light shapes the landscape. You know, painting, like photography, is an act of seeing. It is about finding a way to capture a moment, but also about finding yourself in that moment. Photography and painting feed off each other, inspiring new ways of seeing and interpreting the world around us. It's a continuing conversation.
