Editor: Here we have Edvard Munch's "Death in the Sickroom". It's stark and unsettling. The figures seem trapped in their grief. What’s your take on this intensely personal scene? Curator: It feels almost claustrophobic, doesn't it? Like a memory, shrouded in darkness. Munch’s family history is riddled with loss. I think the faces, the somber palette, are about reckoning with something deeply personal. Editor: So, it's less about death itself and more about… the aftermath? Curator: Perhaps. It’s the lingering presence, the ghosts that haunt us. The shared experience that both unites and isolates. It's a dance with despair. Editor: A very haunting waltz. I'll never look at a sickroom the same way. Curator: Nor will I. Munch has a way of doing that, doesn’t he?
