This "Untitled" painting was made by Luis Feito, and you can tell it's a process. He’s working *through* something here. Look at the surface, the way the colors swim together, and the layering of shapes. There's a square in the lower half of the picture and these zig-zaggy lines above. It looks like Feito laid down thin washes of paint, maybe pushing it around with a rag or a big brush. This gives the painting a feeling of depth, like you could step right into it. Notice how the colors are all related, different shades of purple and red, with these dark green lines holding it all together. I think about Rothko, and other abstract expressionists. But this painting has its own thing. It's less about pure emotion and more about the act of painting itself. It's a reminder that art doesn't always have to be about something specific, sometimes it's just about the pleasure of seeing and the joy of making.
