Editor: Here we have Joseph Jablonski's print, "The Fenway, Boston." It feels very grounded and almost dreamlike. What do you make of this image? Curator: Notice how the bare tree dominates the foreground, its branches like reaching arms. Trees, especially bare ones, are often symbols of resilience, of life continuing even in the face of apparent death. Editor: It's true, there is a starkness to it, but I can also see the promise of renewal. Curator: Precisely. And consider the water, often associated with the subconscious and reflection. What might that tell us about the artist's emotional state? Editor: It’s interesting to consider the layers of meaning embedded in what seems like a simple landscape. Thanks for that insight! Curator: My pleasure. Art invites us to look beyond the surface.
