The linear perspective, though not perfect, directs the eye, emphasizing the figures. How does the artist's use of line and form draw you into the story? Editor: It really brings out the drama in an otherwise balanced tableau. Looking at the lines forming the waves, you feel Peter's struggle but the balance of the painting keeps a symbolic tone.
