Bridgework 1884

Károly Lotz created this mural, Bridgework, and it presents a classical allegorical scene. Dominating the composition, an allegorical female figure carries a model of a bridge on a tray. This is a symbol of connection and progress. Below, we observe reclining figures crowned with laurel wreaths, symbols of victory and status since ancient Greece.
