Sonya Rapoport created this installation with drawings, photographs and mixed media to explore shared dynamics. It’s like she's thinking out loud about how things relate to each other. Looking at the individual pieces, the black and white images contrast with the pale paper. Notice how some images are clearly defined, others seem blurred, almost ghost-like. This combination creates a sense of movement, as if things are coming into and out of focus. Take the dark panel with circular forms: the dense layering of ink creates a tactile presence. Rapoport wants you to engage with the process of discovery. It's a reminder that art, like life, is about embracing ambiguity and asking questions, rather than seeking fixed answers. There's a real resonance with Dadaist assemblage here, I think, and the use of found materials to create a dialogue about the relationship between form and content.
