Editor: So, this painting is simply called "Untitled," an oil painting by Minas Avetisyan. It looks like a theatre set, maybe? All those vivid reds and blues give it such a dramatic feel, like the curtain's about to go up. What do you see in it? Curator: Theatre, definitely, and so much more! It feels almost dreamlike, a stage where memory and emotion perform. Avetisyan uses those colours – passionate reds against melancholic blues – to conjure a feeling rather than a place. See how the figures are almost ghosts? Editor: They’re not very detailed, are they? Sort of just suggested, like thoughts. Curator: Exactly! And think about the Armenian context; Avetisyan was wrestling with identity, history… Could this be a stage for cultural memory, these figures echoes of the past? What do you think about those rough, almost childlike lines? Editor: They make it seem raw, less polished and maybe more honest? Not trying to be perfect, just… there. Curator: Beautifully said. It’s almost like the artist is giving us permission to feel, not just observe. It’s a conversation with the soul. What lingers with you after seeing this painting? Editor: The colors, for sure. And the feeling that there’s a story bubbling beneath the surface, even if I don't know all the details. It makes me want to dig deeper! Curator: Wonderful! That's the magic of art, isn’t it? A continuous unfolding. It certainly got me thinking about theater and art some more, so cheers to both of us!
