Here is the script: This small photograph, made by the NSB, shows a group of boys in uniforms during a game. Looking at it, I think about the different levels of seeing, thinking, and experiencing the world. The photograph is mostly grey and kind of scratchy. The boys are standing around, and there is one boy running in the center. It’s like the photographer wanted to catch a moment of energy and motion. I feel like I know how this photographer feels, trying to catch a moment. I can feel the desire to freeze time and catch all that is happening. Thinking about this scene, I wonder if the photographer knew what would happen to these boys. I also think about how artists are always talking to each other, even across time and different ways of life. I like how painting, like photography, can be full of questions and not just answers. It lets us see things in different ways, which is really important.
