Editor: This untitled print by John Walker, created in 1998, is really striking. The figure is so haunting, with that bird-like head. What do you make of it? Curator: Well, it feels like a glimpse into a personal mythology, doesn't it? Walker often used these primal, almost totemic figures. Maybe it's about confronting our own animal nature? What do you think? Editor: I hadn’t considered that! I was so focused on the dark mood. Curator: It's definitely there, but look at the energy in those marks. It’s a raw, honest kind of beauty. Editor: I see what you mean. It's strangely captivating. Curator: Exactly! It stays with you, doesn't it?
