Francis Naranjo created *Íntimo II*, and what strikes me is its considered orchestration of light and space, a real testament to artmaking as a process of thoughtful arrangement. The piece seems to meditate on intimacy and identity by presenting personal artifacts, perhaps photographs or documents, encased in clear boxes. I am really interested in how the artist employs the physicality of the medium. The light that catches the edges of these boxes, illuminating the images within, invites a quiet, almost reverential engagement. The way the items are suspended creates a sense of detachment, as if these fragments of a life are being observed from a distance. It reminds me a bit of Félix González-Torres’s work, which uses minimalist aesthetics to explore themes of loss and memory, but here, Naranjo seems to be reaching for something more elusive, a kind of emotional truth that lingers just out of reach. Ultimately, this installation feels like an ongoing dialogue about how we construct, preserve, and interpret our personal histories.
