Curator: Barbara Kasten, born in 1936, invites us to examine her photographic work, “Construct III-C”. Editor: Well, it's…intriguing. At first glance, I’m seeing a collision of forms. It gives off a futuristic, yet strangely cold vibe. Curator: Kasten deliberately constructs these scenes, arranging objects and then playing with light and shadow. It’s a manipulation of space. I always feel like I’m looking at something both real and artificial. Editor: You can feel the geometric tension. The severe angles and the reflective surfaces, it's like a deconstructed cityscape where light becomes a tangible building block. Curator: Absolutely. It's an exploration of how we perceive depth and form, pushing the boundaries of photography itself. Editor: It's a compelling perspective on how basic structures can become something quite alien when viewed from a new angle. Curator: I find that the more I study her process, the more the familiar transforms into a source of unexpected wonder.
