Jack Armstrong’s, Cosmic Star Twins #2 is a party on canvas, a riot of color applied with an almost childlike enthusiasm. I imagine him splattering, dripping, and generally letting loose with reds, yellows, and greens, punctuated by sharp black lines that seem to dance across the surface. You can see the artist experimenting, maybe even struggling, with the push and pull of color and form. What does it mean to wrangle such chaos into something cohesive? Is it about control, or about letting go? I bet Armstrong felt like he was surfing a wave of pure energy. The red circles floating at the bottom, are they anchors, or portals to another dimension? Artists like Armstrong, they’re out there pushing boundaries and reminding us that painting is still a vital language. It's not about perfection but about feeling, intention, and the messy, beautiful process of creation.
