Editor: This small, undated photograph by Jack Gould, titled *Untitled (Men working on large machinery, seen from below)*, presents an inverted view of laborers against a stark sky. What narratives do you see emerging from this snapshot of industry? Curator: It highlights the often-unseen labor underpinning societal structures. How does the inverted perspective influence our perception of these workers and their relationship to the towering machinery? Editor: It definitely makes me consider their vulnerability, especially with the negative image. Curator: Precisely. And considering the lack of information surrounding this piece, it challenges us to contemplate the socio-economic contexts inherent in labor and representation. What did you take away from this piece? Editor: I now recognize the importance of acknowledging those who build our world, even if they are invisible to us.
