Here's a small black and white photograph of a youth parade by J. Otto. It's the sort of photo that makes you think about the artist's place, right? I mean, were they a part of this? Were they just sort of watching from the sidelines? You have to wonder how photography might have played a role in shaping perceptions and beliefs during this period, especially in relation to social and political events. And look at the light and shadows, it's an interesting visual narrative with all those marching figures. It makes you wonder, who are these kids? What are they thinking? How does the composition of the photograph influence the viewer’s experience, and what emotions or ideas does it evoke? Anyway, it's all a reminder that art is about dialogue. It’s a constant conversation between artists, between viewers, and across time. We're all just bouncing ideas off each other, trying to make sense of the world.
