How does the structure guide the viewer’s eye? Editor: My gaze definitely follows a zigzag from the pile of jewels at the base, upwards to Gideon on his throne, then back down through the crowd. Does that triangular composition reinforce Gideon's authority? Curator: The pyramid arrangement gives hierarchical significance to Gideon and directs our view towards him, indeed.
