Costume Design 

Vadym Meller created this costume design using watercolor and ink. The artwork presents two figures, each a study in contrasts. Meller masterfully plays with geometric forms and color to create an immediate visual impact. Consider the shapes: bulbous pants juxtaposed with sharp, angular lines of the jackets. The palette is equally striking; the figure on the left combines earth tones with cool blues, while the figure on the right explodes with primary colors. Meller’s use of line is particularly noteworthy, defining form but also creating a sense of dynamic movement. Through these formal choices, Meller engages with the avant-garde spirit of his time, challenging traditional notions of representation. These designs, more than mere costumes, are experiments in visual language, inviting us to consider how shapes and colors can construct meaning and emotion.
