This necklace was made by a Navajo (Diné) artist, and just thinking about its making is a meditation. Imagine the quiet focus, the careful work of shaping each silver bead. There's such attention to detail. Each little blossom is evenly spaced. Look at the squash blossom design and those smooth, cool beads, how they feel against the skin. It’s easy to imagine the artist’s hands, working metal into these satisfying forms. The pendant is so pleasing, like a double horseshoe, or maybe even a grin. This piece feels connected to a long tradition, but also utterly individual. It makes me think about how artists across time are always speaking to one another through their work. They are giving and taking inspiration, making something new from what came before. This necklace is an enduring statement about skill, beauty, and the power of artistry.
