Simon Moulijn made "Bospad met springend konijn" using etching, and it’s the kind of print that pulls you into its quiet world. It’s all about process; each line, each tone meticulously built. The sepia ink gives it a vintage feel, like a memory softened by time. Look closely at the trees; see how Moulijn captures their texture with these delicate lines, giving a real sense of depth. And that little bunny! A tiny detail, but it brings the whole scene to life. I’m reminded of Whistler, who also knew how to do so much with so little, finding poetry in the everyday. This print invites us to slow down, to appreciate the simple beauty of a forest path, and maybe, to catch a glimpse of something unexpected.
