This is a postcard by Vittorio Pica, covered with stamps and text, kinda like a collage of communication. The layering here is so cool, each stamp and line of text feels like a brushstroke. I’m really drawn to the way the information is distributed across the surface. The various stamps and handwritten notes create a textured field of visual information, almost like a cityscape. The different typefaces and handwriting styles add to the sense of organized chaos, like a visual representation of thoughts and intentions. The circular stamp, in particular, anchors the composition with its repetitive text. It gives me Eva Hesse vibes, who was so good at using repetition and simple forms to create complex, engaging surfaces. Ultimately, this card reminds us that art is all about communication, not just about pretty pictures, but about sharing ideas, stories, and experiences with others.
