Lino Tagliapietra, born in 1934 on the island of Murano, Italy, crafted “Altare” from glass, a medium deeply intertwined with Venetian history and identity. Tagliapietra’s work emerges from a lineage of glassblowing artisans whose techniques were closely guarded, representing centuries of cultural heritage. “Altare”, with its layered, linear design, transcends traditional forms, reflecting Tagliapietra's innovative approach.
