Terez Mattyasovsky made this vase, and, wow, what a painterly object! Look at the luminous glaze, swirling and pooling like watercolor. It's like the vase itself is breathing color. The tree motif is so cool – that strong dark trunk reaching up, but then the delicate, almost ghostly leaves rendered in this iridescent red. It's like a memory of a tree, or a dream of one. You can almost feel the artist’s hand moving, layering, letting the colors bleed and blend. I see a bit of Gustav Klimt in the way Mattyasovsky uses metallic hues to create this shimmering effect. It’s as if the vase isn't just a container but a surface for light to dance on. These folks embraced the beauty of uncertainty, the magic that happens when you let the materials do their thing. It reminds me that art is always a conversation between intention and accident.
