I get the feeling that Gian Maria Tosatti made this artwork, I’ve already been here. Headache, in a cold sweat. This image brings together a very specific set of objects, a still life from the end of the world! I imagine the artist placing each element of the composition with extreme care. The TV, the chair, and those radiators are all strategically placed for maximum dread. And that title! “Headache” suggests a certain level of discomfort, maybe frustration or even anger. It makes me wonder about all the things Tosatti might have been thinking about, a stream of consciousness, a kind of existential crisis. Maybe he was thinking about what it means to make art in a world that seems to be falling apart? Ultimately, this reminds us that artists are always responding to the world around them, engaging in a continuous exchange of ideas across time. They’re not afraid to embrace ambiguity and uncertainty, allowing for multiple interpretations and meaning over fixed or definitive readings.
