Ronnie Landfield made this All Over Pour Painting using, well, poured paint! It's kinda wild how he lets the colors mingle and do their thing. There's something mesmerizing about how Landfield layers the paint, creating these horizontal ribbons of color. Look at that one spot near the middle – how the purple sneaks in between the reds and oranges, like a little secret. It's like he's not trying to control it too much, allowing the paint to have its own voice. You can almost feel the texture, the slight ridges where the paint pooled and settled. This reminds me a little bit of Helen Frankenthaler, another painter who embraced chance and fluidity. But Landfield has his own thing going on, a sort of organized chaos that's really appealing. It shows how art can be a conversation across time, each artist building on what came before, but always adding their own unique spin.
