Editor: This is an illustration from *Adelphi, The Brothers*, by an anonymous artist. It’s giving me a stage play vibe, all the figures lined up, like actors. What do you make of it? Curator: It feels like a scene plucked from a dream, doesn't it? The stark lines, the almost cartoonish figures—yet, there's something deeply human in their gestures, their interactions. I wonder, are they trapped in conversation, or are they each within their own minds? Editor: Trapped in conversation, definitely! The guy on the right looks like he wants to bolt. Any thoughts on why the artist chose this medium? Curator: The medium itself speaks of accessibility, of a story meant to be shared widely, perhaps even cheaply. It's not about high art, but about high drama, played out for the masses. It feels to me that they invite us to imagine the story beyond the frame. Editor: I never thought about it that way before. It makes me think about how stories connect us across time. Curator: Exactly! We, too, become players in the drama, interpreting their every move, feeling their silent pleas.
