This is Robert Frank, playing with the idea of a single moment, but stretching it, repeating it, so it becomes a rhythm of seeing. Three strips of black and white negatives float on the surface of the print, documenting a weekend, maybe a party, a story unfolds across the frames. I imagine Robert Frank at Uribe's house, his eye glued to the viewfinder, chasing moments, trying to hold onto them. The light is grainy, imperfect, like a memory fading at the edges. He captures a woman reclining, a building interior, and crowds of people in motion, these little frames tell a bigger story, one that's not quite clear. It reminds me of the way painters like Gerhard Richter play with photographs, blurring the lines between documentation and art. Frank's work does that too. It’s like he’s saying, life isn’t just one sharp image, it’s a series of impressions, a blur of motion, and emotion. It’s about feeling the moment, not just seeing it. Artists like Frank are always showing us how to see the world anew.
