What do you see in this piece, that I might be missing? Curator: It’s interesting, isn’t it? That orb reminds me of a bruised moon, or perhaps a dark sun setting on a world not quite our own. Le Brun often deals with mythology and Romanticism, and I wonder if this is his way of showing us the end of an age, or the birth of a new one from the ashes. What do you think? Editor: That makes sense. I hadn't considered the mythological aspect. Curator: Think of Turner's dramatic skies or Blake's mystical visions, but with a modern sensibility. The darkness, the swirling lines, it's all incredibly expressive. Something to ponder! Editor: Definitely. It's given me a whole new perspective.
