Celestial Virtues 

"Celestial Virtues" was designed by the French artist Erte, who translated his personal experiences and beliefs into elaborate designs. Erte's androgynous figures reflected the shifting gender roles of the early 20th century, blending masculine and feminine traits to challenge traditional representations. The flowing robes, the soft lines, and the subtle details of the flowers create a feeling of serenity and contemplation, inviting viewers to reflect on their own virtues. The snake can be interpreted as a symbol of wisdom, and the light evokes enlightenment. Erte himself once stated, "I never cared about what other people thought. I always did what I wanted."
