Editor: Here we have an untitled photograph by Jack Gould of a child being placed into a therapeutic tub. The negative print gives it a stark, ghostly feel. What do you make of it? Curator: It’s undeniably unsettling, isn't it? The clinical setting, the vulnerability of the child... It almost feels like a memory, a fragmented glimpse into a forgotten past. The stark contrast makes me wonder about themes of healing, but also institutional power. What feelings does it evoke for you? Editor: Definitely a sense of unease, maybe even a little fear. It makes me think about the history of medicine and how far we've come. Curator: Exactly! It's a stark reminder, isn't it? Art can really hold a mirror up to our own anxieties and progress.
