This looks like it was made by Dragan Ilić Di Vogo using paint, and what a trip it is to look at! I wonder what it was like for Di Vogo to make this painting; the feeling of the brush sliding around, adding water, maybe even wiping it away to start again. The colorful palette makes me think of candy. It feels like this painting came into being through trial, error, and intuition. The image is otherworldly, with the figure of a woman morphing into a fish. It reminds me of that feeling when you look at a painting, and your mind starts to wander and make up stories. I imagine Di Vogo wanted to express this symbiosis by creating a dreamlike state. I'd say that artists are always in conversation with each other, across time, inspiring one another’s creativity. I see this painting as a form of embodied expression, embracing ambiguity, allowing for multiple interpretations.
