Woman with a dolphin 

This is Gyula Benczúr’s drawing, Woman with a Dolphin. The graphite strokes give texture to the figures, as well as tone and volume, creating an image of soft, shadowed forms. The artist uses line and form to convey the figure's idealized anatomy. Note how the woman's body curves, echoed by the dolphin’s smooth skin, creating an interplay between human and animal forms.
