Vasile Dobrian made this 'Landscape with Bridge' with what looks like woodblock printmaking and such an evocative palette of greens, browns, and oranges. I just love imagining Dobrian in the studio, maybe a bit frustrated at times, but also totally absorbed in the process. You know, layering those colors, trying to get just the right depth and texture, that's where the magic happens. The bridge looms in the background, solid yet dreamlike. And that tree! It’s like a burst of life, a little beacon. Looking at this, I’m reminded of other artists who capture urban scenes with such raw emotion. There’s a sense of urgency, of trying to capture a moment before it slips away. It makes you think, doesn’t it? How artists are always talking to each other across time, riffing off ideas, pushing boundaries. Painting is like this ongoing conversation, full of questions, doubts, and endless possibilities.
