Editor: So, this is Gerd Winner's "Red Arrow Bus." It's...well, it's a very red bus! It's got this striking contrast between the bold color and the grayscale reflection in the windshield. What do you make of it? Curator: It's a portrait of a London icon, isn’t it? Winner’s chosen to give it this almost heroic presence, head-on, symmetrical. The red screams ‘London’. But it's not just a bus, it's a moment in time, a slice of urban life made iconic. It’s like a pop song you can’t get out of your head. What feeling does it conjure for you? Editor: Nostalgia, maybe? I've never even *been* on one of these buses, but I feel like I have. Curator: Exactly! It's art that whispers stories, real and imagined.
