This is Robert Frank's contact sheet, *Guggenheim 625—San Francisco*, which, I guess, he made by exposing light on a roll of 35mm film in a darkroom. It’s a collection of small images, moments captured in the city, a tapestry of urban life. Looking at it, I feel like I am there with Frank, wandering the streets of San Francisco, camera in hand. What was it like to walk those streets? What was it like to frame those fleeting moments? I like to imagine him composing each shot, maybe chasing after the right light, the right angle. Each frame holds a story, a slice of life. You get the feeling these are raw, unfiltered impressions. It reminds me that art isn't just about the final product, but the process, the journey, the accumulation of experiences. I guess that is why I paint, too; it allows me to capture the flow and uncertainty of life. It's a reminder that we're all just trying to make sense of the world, one frame at a time.
