Editor: This is Pavel Tchelitchew's "Head of a Man". It looks like a watercolor, a study perhaps. I find it quite ethereal and melancholic, almost like a fading memory. What do you see in this piece? Curator: It whispers to me of longing, doesn't it? The upward gaze, the delicate washes... It's as if he's yearning for something just out of reach, a celestial aspiration. Or maybe contemplating a memory. Editor: I hadn't thought of it that way. Curator: It reminds me of how fleeting and beautiful everything is. Perhaps that's what Tchelitchew wanted us to feel too? Editor: I suppose that’s what art does, makes you wonder. Curator: Exactly!
